WORKING PARENTS? How is this possible??

I'm writing this post out of absolute defeat, and the need to vent in the hopes there's some other working parent who reads this and has even a small suggestion. This isn't a pitty-party. I'm just looking for support.

Spouse and I work regular 40 hour/week jobs. Our kids are very young, and the youngest hasn't even started sleeping through the night yet. We get up tired, we go to work where we're drained of mental capacity, and then come home to fix dinner, change diapers, do laundry, clean the house, feed the kids, do baths, and finally get the kids to bed. God willing we'll still have enough energy for the two of us to enjoy a few minutes of time alone after the kids go to bed before we fall asleep - but that rarely happens. So WHERE IS THE TIME to workout??? How do other working parents possibly have time to do anything they want in life, LET ALONE go to the gym or a freaking run? I just don't get it. We're so stressed half the time all we do is binge-eat while we're taking care of the kids and the thousand things we have going on.

When I was single (not too many years ago) I was in awesome shape. Biked, ran, lifted weights, etc. My fridge and cupboards were full of fruit, veggies, and quinoa. Now, I'm obese, and so is my spouse. I wouldn't trade my spouse or kids for the world, but I seriously don't understand how any single person (especially without kids) has any excuse for being out of shape. So how to parents stay in shape? My spouse turns to sweets a lot of the time, and between the food the kids eat, and her sweets, the house is always packed with junk food.

I posted a similar post on another site and was flooded with advice from people who CLEARLY had no kids. I want to punch those comments in the face, because how can you give advice/support when you're not going through the same thing. People would say stuff like "get up earlier". Really??? Were you up all night changing diapers, feeding, and getting a baby back to sleep? The few friends we've made in the new city we live in don't have any kids, so my spouse and I really just need some tips on how to stay in shape when life is spinning a thousand miles an hour around our little kids and we're in a constant state of sleep-deprivation.

My rant is over. If you've actually read this far, feel free to down-vote like I'm sure you're ready to.
