Tip: We don't always measure everything, so try measuring your nonscientific units as a sanity check.

For example: Take a regular handful of nuts that you'd eat and throw them on the scale. Is that one ounce or two? What about that scoop of peanut butter? What is a "mouthful" of something?

I'm guessing most people don't carry a food scale or measuring spoons with them everywhere but you can sanity check a reference amount and be able to track pretty accurately just knowing how many handfuls you consumed.
