Hey everyone,
I need some help, or at least other opinions to weigh-in on this. Back in April, the 29th I was 370 lbs. I decided it was time to change. I started eating 1500 calories, counting them and weighing my food. I started with 2 walks minimum daily to start moving. A week in, I decided it's time for the gym. I'm wrapping up my second month of gym time this week and the calorie deficit is the same as it was when I started this. I do have some cheat meals, 1 a week, where I eat past my deficit but not past my BMR range (2231 according to my gym's weigh-in machine).
The last almost 2 weeks... the scale.. has NOT moved. 328... 328... 328... I caught a cold from my son who brought that stuff back from daycare ; ; Last week thursday. I still went to the gym before it fully hit but the day later I was DEAD. So i just went for a 12.5 km walk, split into two walks, just to stay active because I usually hit cardio and abs on Saturday morning. Yesterday, I woke up, cold gone, feeling energized again, feeling great, hit the gym, had a fantastically challenging work out. I keep lifting the resistance and the intensity is somewhat high (i feel my heart through my chest and literally leaking sweat). I ate well, 1501 calories, a healthy balance as well.
Step on the scale this morning.... 328...
How am I plateaued at 328 lbs which is obviously an unnatural and unhealthy weight and size... It boggles my mind. I'm trying not to stress about it, but it is bothering me.
6 years ago I was 295 lbs. I had just given up smoking, and started training at the gym. I was eating the same amount of calories, 1500, and within 3 months I had dropped down to 255. Gained a ton of muscle as well, unfortunately I was younger and not quite smart and I ended up hurting myself and packing all the weight back on.
I don't want to do this fast again, I just would like to see the weight move from 328... it's literally 2 days away from being 2 weeks... anyways.. Gym time for me, some cardio day. Hopefully I get some conversations going with this thread.
TLDR: started 370, lost till 328.. been 328 for almost 2 weeks... and it's bothering me and I don't know what more to do.
