Day 5 - The RD Diet

I’m a 46M and decided to try again. To maximize my lifespan for my kids and gf. In my life, I have epically yo-yo’d between my ideal weight and +100lbs.

Day 5: - Down 5.2lbs

What’s my Registered Dietitian doing differently? Any app can spit out calorie and macro targets, which I’ve found helpful for short-term loss but not as a sustainable practice.

My goals this week were: (1) log food - just photographing or naming it, (2) eat 3 meals per day at regular times - since most of my overeating begins with misting a meal, (3) sleep well. These are imho sustainable.

For sleep I bought a Wellue pulse oximeter—FDA-approved so a bit more serious than other sleep wearables—and the Rise sleep tracker. It focuses on when to be active and rest.
