How to motivate myself to begin my weight loss journey for real?

I'm 25 and I have been a chubby person since my teenage years. I would sometimes get the sudden motivation to lose weight and end up losing a few kgs, and it would come back again. I never liked any sorts of exercise or sports, I did brisk walking for weight loss for an hour every evening but apart from that there's nothing I enjoy. I went to the gym a few times but never ended up going back again, it just wasn't for me. In 2023 I lost around 15 kgs without any exercise because I was depressed and stopped eating altogether. But once I felt alright the weight slowly came back.

I have recently started working and I come back home around 6:30. By that time I don't have any energy left, I usually wash up, have dinner and lay in bed.

However it has started to affect my body, which I'm realising now. My feet/ heels hurt way too much, I cannot walk for more than a certain time period. It feels like I'm going to suffocate with my own body weight.

When it comes to diet I have a sweet tooth and I need a sweet treat every day. It's just such a mess. I know weight loss mainly is diet and exercise but for me it seems I'll always be the chubby woman. If anyone has any tips it'll be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Should I just assume I burn zero calories working out to be safe?

I am so annoyed at not being able to find an accurate prediction for how many calories are burned doing X workout. Oh you did the elliptic...
