Undoing bad food habits from childhood

What are some of the negative food patterns that were taught to you as a child that you had to unlearn? One of my biggest ones was that I was punished if i didn't finish everything on the plate. It normalized overeating and is probably the biggest contributor to why i'm at this weight today. i'm still really bad at judging my hunger level but now when i'm full i always take it as leftovers for the next meal/day. can't believe how many extra calories i was eating each day just because i felt like i had to "finish my plate" 🤦🏽‍♀️
