Anyone else enjoying 'normal' food more while dieting?

I'm doing a calorie deficit diet with Huel for easy and nutritional meal replacements, a daily greens drink to boost my nutrition and at least 1 'normal' meal a day, which might be soup depending on how I'm doing for calories that day.

In the last couple of weeks, I find that I am really enjoying those 'normal' meals more. I'm putting more thought into them, planning my calorie intake around them, and they even seem to taste better.

For example, I found a small frozen pizza for around 600 calories, so I bought that for my dinner and kept my breakfast and lunch really low calorie so that I could have the pizza without blowing up my day. I was looking forward to the pizza all afternoon and I really enjoyed it when I finally sat down to eat it. It wasn't the best, but I feel like I got a treat without letting myself down calorie-wise.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it because I'm restricting my calorie intake, because I am on meal replacements, or maybe both?
