This year I’ve been trying more seriously to make a lifestyle change, I’ve been trying to eat healthier and just being more mindful about my diet. I also found a form of exercise that I enjoy, which I never thought was possible! I’ve been going to pilates and yoga classes at my university, but now they’re on break for the summer. I feel like that was the only thing keeping me on track. Even if my diet was kind of a mess I would just go to pilates class, which motivated me to keep going and also eat better.
My problem is that I can’t seem to just stick to a goal. Sometimes maintaining a healthy lifestyle feels so easy that I can’t believe I didn’t do it before. I would go through times when I wouldn’t even think about junk food let alone binging. But then for some reason I ”relapse” - maybe a weekend at my mom’s house or easter, when I just eat whatever I want, and then afterwards I can’t stop. I think I need a specific kind of mindset that allows me to go back to the lifestyle that I know I’m capable of. I just feel like there’s always something that makes me fall back to my old bad habits.
