I’ve been working out for a year. 2 times a week with a trainer, 3 times on my own. My diet is better than it was but not perfect. My doctor recommended medicine. Does it make sense

I’m at 290 down from 330 max in a year. I eat better but I don’t hardcore diet. I’ve mostly tried to food replace and make better choices. Got a new doctor and he suggested I try either Ozempic or Mounjaro. Specifically he said there is a compounding pharmacy in a major metro nearby that they’ve recommended a lot of their patients to and the results are pretty incredible. I’m skeptical but then I’ve asked 2 people I know who have lost 100+ lbs in a year and both said they were on Mounjaro. Asked my doctor about the medicine and he said the idea is it’ll change how you’ll eat and after long enough your body will keep that new idea of when to eat. He thinks that it won’t be a get off it get all the weight back on situation.

Is this really a miracle drug. It definitely seems like it to me comparing it to the drugs of the past that basically do nothing.
