I'm 18f who lives with my parents due to being in secondary school. In a couple of months I'll be in university and can control a bit more of my weight loss but, in the mean time, I'm stuck at home and want to get started.
My parents don't allow me to leave the house alone and we don't have exercise equipment at home so I've been making do with home videos, that's fine. That's not the issue as much as I'm eating meals my parents cook with very little control. They won't let me make my own meals because they accuse it of being an eating disorder and won't let me eat less than the portion they serve (they still do the whole 'you need to sit at the table until you're done' business). I've been trying to log calories but each meal will easily be 800 calories and I'm finding it really hard to lose on that. I've taken to skipping lunch at school but it still adds up with the breakfast, dinner, and desserts they enforce.
I'm beginning to lose motivation because they're giving me really little agency and I want to be able to start working now instead of resigning myself to nothing until university starts (and also get them to stop commenting on how fat and ugly I am). And I apologize because I know it sounds like I'm just complaining but I'm looking to see if anybody else has experience losing in a situation where they cannot just skip/alter meals or go to the gym without their parents being angry at them for days.
