TL:DR: 90kg 22M wants to go to 67kg. Little sleep so eat more to maintain energy and fatigued so don’t have energy to go gym. Advice needed.
First time writing a Reddit post but needed some advice. I (22M) am 90kg at 5’5, and my target weight is 67-68kg.
I’m not greatly concerned with having a muscular or toned body, I literally just want the fat off of my body. Most of which is on my belly.
I have yo-yo’d a lot. I think the best I did was 2 years ago, I went from 85kg to 75kg but now I’m back to 90kg. I remember I did a lot of my weight loss during Ramadan (I’m Muslim so fasting anyways and then putting in an hour of exercise before breaking my fast was easily doable).
The problem I feel that I am facing now, big time, is that I want to diet, I want to exercise and lose weight. But I’m honestly just tired most days. I sleep ~4hrs at night due to Uni, work etc. and some days I get to sneak in an hour or two after uni finishes.
As a result of lack of sleep, I find myself eating more to maintain energy (there goes my diet) and feeling too fatigued to show up to the gym (there goes my exercise)
Any advice? People say “get more sleep” but that doesn’t always work, I’ve always been a last minute guy so if I have an assignment due or work to finish - I find myself compromising on sleep
