Just getting started -33M

I'm 33M and just getting started properly in trying to lose weight. At my heaviest (around May) I weighed 109kg. Since then I've tried to walk more and cut back on snacking and got down to around 100kg.

I've now started seriously counting calories using an app (aiming for 1500 cal per day), hitting around 14,000 steps per day and going to the gym each night (I've been fast walking/running on the treadmill for about 45 minutes and then some weight machines).

I was pretty unfit and am starting to build up my fitness and can slowly jog for longer each time. Three weeks in I'm down to 97.3kg with my eventual aim of 78kg.

My biggest vice before all this was sugar. I would drink coca cola every day and chocolate/sweet things. Something snapped in me about 4 weeks ago and I just decided I needed to do something. I've cut all of that out and it has felt surprising easy this time around (I think because i'm really motivated).

Any tips or advice for someone starting out on this journey?
