I'm very confused...
I (20, F, 165 cm or 5,4 ft) have been losing weight for more than a year, and I'm getting close to my goal. I went from around 92 kg (≈200 lbs, according to google) to around 60 kg (≈130 lbs). My goal is to go down to 55 kg (≈120 lbs)... frankly only because the internet said it was the "ideal" weight for my size.
Tbh, I could stop losing now, but I'm still bothered by my face, which looks quite fat compared to the rest of my body. My scale tells me I have a body fat percentage of 27, which seems high, so I guess that explains it...
I recently got into strength training, and I'm really enjoying it so far! It's only been a few months, but I feel stronger, and can lift heavier weights, which makes me think I must be gaining muscle in some way. I don't know if it's good or not, but it seems I went for 28 % body fat to 27 % since I started. The problem is, I really can't manage to eat the recommended amount of protein to gain muscle.
Now, is the training I'm doing effective at all (in terms of reducing my body fat percentage), or should I switch to something else? Should I lose the weight first, and then, focus on building muscles? Or, should I stop losing weight altogether? Will the body fat go away only by dieting, and will that be enough to reduce the face on my face?
Even though I enjoy strength training more than other fitness activities I tried, my immediate goal is just to look good. If it doesn't help me at all, I'm willing to stop, and possibly find something else.
