The cravings are driving me up the wall

I have a very bad diet. I'm talking fast food and candy every day kind of diet. I finally got healthier food, but now the cravings are hurting me big time. And I know if I give in, I wont be able to stop giving in. I keep going to the fridge and snacking, but none of it can get rid of the cravings because it's not junk food. I've been through this before, but I forgot how bad it was. Last time, I ate my weight in healthy food until the cravings finally disappeared, then I was able to focus on the calorie count without the pesky cravings getting in the way, and I lost like 10 pounds! I was so happy! But instead of continuing, dumb me decided "wow, such good job. I deserve a treat." Next thing I knew, I gained it all back, and now I'm going through the cravings all over again. I know it'll get better, but good gravy I forgot how hard it is to overcome. It feels like I'm hungry even though I literally just ate. I keep searching for chocolate even though I know I dont have any. I'm getting irritated because I want junk food so badly. This is more of a rant than an advice thread, but if anyone went through the same thing, let me know what your experience was like
