So, two years ago I was 200lb at a height of 5'1". After being overweight my whole life, that number finally made me realize it was time to change. So I started exercising.
I hated it. I was so out of shape and I found it boring but hard, and just...I hated it. But I kept going.
Now I am down to 110ish, five more to go for goal weight, and I enjoy exercising! I loved going to the gym and feeling tired afterwards, feeling that burn of exercise. I was running a mile and a half three times a week, hiit exercises daily, and cardio kickboxing - thank you quarantine for time to exercise!
Then I pulled my calf muscle. No more hiit, no more running, nothing. That was a week ago. I realized today how far I've come in two years. To forcing myself to work out just once a day to now, forcing myself to NOT work out and heal.
Moral of my story: to those of you just starting - it does get better. You just have to keep pushing yourself and remember the ultimate goal is health and happiness.
You got this.
