i have no idea if im posting this in the right place, if not, then please tell me where it needs to go :)
im 24, female, 5f3in 225lbs .. (um .. i am also lacking teeth.. so theres that.... genetic disorder that caused me needing to get them removed... )
i never really had self hate thoughts... other then thinking my chest was too small , but thats not really due to anything i can change without surgery... ive never even disliked that fact i dont have teeth ! i very much enjoy not being in extreme pain every time i breath....
OK back to the weight thing.
i never really thought too much about being fat .. yeah, all my siblings and both of my parents are thin.. my parents didnt make a big fuss over my weight, so neither did i .. i have wide shoulders , and wide hips , so i figured i would have to have a little weight to myself to cover the bones .. but .. not this much...
i didnt weigh myself for the longest time .. and one day i got curious .. not even owning a bathroom scale .. i went to the store and bought one .. i told myself "i highly doubt im over 190" WRONG .. i flux from 220 to 230. guessing water weight.
but still over what im comfortable with , and since weighing myself i been more self cautious about it .. noticing my stomach , arms , thighs ... i wanna fix it ..
if someone who knows about "lifestyle change" rather then a diet , and daily exercise routine. please help me out...
i live alone, so i dont have that struggle of "i wish i was eating what you are. " and i can avoid having "temptation foods " in the house... but heres the catch..... i dont make a lot of money . so my food needs to be on a budget, as i still have bills to pay. ive actually collected exercise equipment from yard sales for cheap .. i got a treadmill, a exercise bike, a mini trampoline, pilates tension chair. so got a little exercise room started .. i just .. guess i been waiting for the "right time " to break them in ... which is what i was going to do along side changing my eating habits ..
tbh i dont eat much.... probably 1 or 2 meals a day if i think about eating .. for some reason my body dont tell me when im hungry , till im REALLY hungry , which causes me to pick the wrong things to eat... that being said , im not that picky of a eater... i love my veggies , and dont eat much meat... i like meat , i just dont have money to eat it all the time unless its processed .. but the meat i do eat tends to be more chicken or turkey, and canned tuna as its the cheaper of them all , though ... i love my med. rare steak... i just cant eat raw veggies as stated above "no teeth" if you can crush it between your knuckle, or pull it apart with your fingers. i can most likely eat it . just to give you a example ..
i dont eat much bread... i just havent been a big bread fan... only time i actually eat it , is when i get a fast food sandwich .. but even then , i normally take one of the buns off , as its too much like that ..
i rarely even eat candy.. i like my hard candies that last longer then chocolate or gummies .. but even my hard candy i tend to spit out before its half way dissolved
here are some questions .. carbs, calories or both , should i avoid ? people say fruit are healthy , but then some people say to avoid fruit cause of the carbs ... why are carbs "bad" ?
good fats , how do i know when something says "fat" if its good .. or bad .. and how much "fat" is good/bad ?
i wanna get down to 160lbs.. i dont have a set time frame , and i know 70lbs (estimating from my highest weight) isnt going to be easy to lose... and i KNOW i wont be able to do it in a short amount of time.. so hmm , lets say .. 70lbs by Christmas 2020.
thank you for taking your time to read this .. im ready to start kicking myself in the butt about changing my life... i just dont wanna do it wrong and hurt my body as i do it.. i could probably have looked at articles online about this stuff , but at the same time , its just not as personal .. and i could be getting the wrong info by just randomly clicking on links...
