Has anyone ever got to a weight before their goal weight and was happy with it and decided to maintain from there?

I see so many people with goal weights, with me having one as well, but I see so many people that look so good at a progress weight, and I was curious if anyone ever decided to just..stop? Being happy with what they got too, I mean, and decided to not continue to their goal because they were happy they way they looked. I feel I'm still very far from my goal weight, but getting happier with how I look and feel I will be satisfied much before my goal weight, but I feel if I dont want to continue to my goal weight I will be "giving up" so wondering how people feel who have done this?

TDLR: Anyone stopped losing weight before their goal weight because they were happy with what they were at?
