[F] How to lose more fat instead of muscle

Browsing this sub for the past year and looking at all these progress pics finally convinced me to give it a go in June :)

So far, 23F Height: 5'8" SW: 170lbs CW: 163lbs GW: 136lbs

I've been trying to eat cleaner, cut down on snacks and carbs, jump rope, body weight exercises, which has brought me to my current weight. Kinda plateauing now, and my scale that also measures muscle and fat percentage indicates I'm gaining muscle everyday, but barely losing any fat (staying around 35%).

Whenever I stop exercising and only eat clean, my overall weight visibly drops the next day, but my scale says it's all muscle that I'm losing and not fat :( I'm hoping to get my body fat percentage down into the 20s, but it seems really stubborn.

Any tips on what I should focus on to lose weight by losing body fat and not muscle? Thank you!!
