Lost 19.8 kg (40 something lbs) and I can't see anything different

I've gone from 132.3 kg to 112.5

I don't know what's up. Over the last 8 months I've slowly lost that weight through changing up my eating (just eating less, drinking only water and staying away from chips and so on) and through the occasional jog or walk.

I look at myself in the mirror and it's like nothing's changed. I can't see anything different. It's frustrating and it feels like everything I'm doing is just for nothing at all. I'm actually afraid I may only have lost muscles instead of the fat since I've heard they weigh more than fat.

People tell me I've lost weight when I ask them but I can't help but feel they're just saying it out of sympathy or just trying to avoid hurting me or something like that.

I honestly feel like giving up at times, like it's just not worth it. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I just can't see the change myself...
