A Healthy Change

I joined reddit not too long ago and I joined a lot of communities that I was interested in. I saw this subreddit and some of the stories of people losing weight has inspired me to lose weight.

I've changed my diet around 3 or 4 weeks ago and it wasn't easy. The beginning is really tedious. I had a really bad diet and really changed it for the better. I've read about someone's success story about still being able to eat what they wanted but at a reduced calorie intake. I've tried it and it has been working well. I've also tried just eating whenever I was hungry, before I would just try to eat so many meals a deal like it was a requirement. I also used to succumb to my parents buying me fast food or just taking me out. It's really hard to reject free food! Just being able to not eat fast food all the time really helps. I've also just been drinking water everyday and exclusively water.

I've lost 9 pounds so far(down from 207lbs) I'm also 5"8 . I'm not starving myself and I'm eating healthier and less. Not once have I felt like I was starving. I've had like two cheat days where I just ate whatever and didn't really care about calories. But what really helped me even when I went out and splurged on food was checking my weight on a scale everyday. I get to see my progress and see whats happening when I splurge or whenever I'm following my diet.

For me, just watching my calorie intake and watching how much sugar is going into my body or carbs rather... It's been helping! I've been feeling better about myself and I'm very thankful for this subreddit. I hope I'm not messing up my body with my diet. I try to eat all the food groups. I'm not really doing anything different just eating less and exclusively drinking water. Watch those calories! Watch how much food you've been eating and just reduce it. That's what I've learned to do to lose weight. I hope I can continue to lose weight, I guess I should also add that I'm fairly active at my job and I'm able to get like 7000 steps on my pedometer. Sometimes I'll just walk for a bit to reach a higher step count.

I hope I'm well within the communities posting rules. If anyone's got any tips or advice share in the comments below so others can see it.
