I've realized through some discussions that most people find 'real' aka chewy food much more filling than liquids. But for me, the opposite seems to be true.
Things like smoothies, protein shakes, and soups are more satiating to me than normal food. When I eat, no matter what I'm eating, unless I drink a ton of water with my meal I pretty much can just keep going like a bottomless pit. I've been experimenting with a full liquid diet on some days, mostly with meal replacement shakes, and they seem to work really well for me.
Even if I eat a 4oz porkchop (23g protein) with veggies I will still find myself going back for seconds or wanting more an hour later, vs. a protein shake with the same protein content and I'll be good for like 4 hours.
I'm just wondering what could be the explanation behind this? Or does anyone else have the same experience?
