Psychiatrist told me to stop - 15lb loss thanks to r/loseit

Dx Bipolar 1, obsessive compulsive personality disorder since 2011, alcohol use issues since 2013

Age 32, 6'1, 231lb - 215lb since Feb 15

Lost 15lbs over 7 weeks, CICO of around 1800/day, 5 days per week of working out, stopped drinking, improved sleep.

Meds - Lithium, Valproate, Lamictal

I see a psych for checkups every 8-10 weeks or so, meds, blood tests etc. I have a history of alcohol use that started around the first episode of mania in 2012, I stopped drinking with the help of various reddit subs in Feb and got back into a decent workout routine and meal tracking, OCPD help with this :P

Anyway, I know my psychs main concern would be mental health and aesthetics really aren't much of a priority but I would love to be closer to 190-195 but it looks like 215-217 maintenance for the next few months is in order, calorie deficit of 1k+ along with my obsessive compulsive meant that it was time to take a break to make sure another episode wasn't triggered.

Thought I would post up my results anyway. I will maintain my protein at ~200g but start moving carbs to get overall calories to ~2600 and see if I can start seeing gains in lean mass.

15lbs might not sound like much but if you hold a lot of fat in the trunk it can make some serious difference when wearing clothes and it can be entirely worth it to get started on the journey.
