I am looking for advice on how many calories to eat. But first let’s give you the context.
So my BMR is around 1600 (based on my desk job and no exercise) with my TDEE being around 1985 so I’ve been eating 1500 calories each day and losing weight as I do.
I’ve now started to incorporate exercise into this; at least 2 sessions a week for 90 mins (Aussie rules footy). I’ve just started training so don’t want to immediately eat 1800 - 2000 calories everyday (still less that the adjusted tdee) as surely it will take time for my metabolic rate to adjust? Is this right? At the moment, I am allowing myself 200 extra calories on training days. Is this the right way to do it?
Am I overthinking this (wouldn’t be the first time) and depriving myself of extra food?!
Any advice welcomed :)
Thank you!
