I've made the first steps.

I moved away to the country a couple of years ago. Things ended up not going the way we had planned and I had gotten depressed and fell into a self deprecating pattern and hated life. I sadly took it out on myself and did nothing to benefit me, and lost all gains I had spent years making.

I unfortunately had regained weight, jumping back up to 357 lbs. I'm a big person already, but it was NOT in any way a healthy increase. My body felt it, both mentally and physically. I moved back to the city and have figured out my shit (as I am bouncing back from nearly having to declare bankruptcy) and have found a solid well paying job, and am balancing my funds to get a new gym membership. I had to shop around but came in a the right time for an easily affordable plan with access to over 1500 gyms around North America (my new job has me traveling a lot) and have developed a solid meal plan (being a Chef by trade and working towards a degree in Nutrition doesn't hurt either).

Since starting again in mid February, and more recently adjusting things and going full tilt, I'm down to 335 from 357 and down 3 inches on my waist. I haven't taken measurements yet as I'm meeting with a trainer to start the spring fitness challenge at the gym I'm at now on Monday. I would post a photo from the start but I don't have enough karma yet. Either way the importance is I'm starting to make a change, and to be honest, a lot of the stories from here have helped push me to start. I thank you all.
