I am sick of people telling me to ‘just enjoy your Easter chocolate.’

With all of the Easter chocolate at the moment, along come all of the bosy positive facebook and instagram posts about not caring how many calories are in a chocolate egg and to just enjoy your day and not worry about your weight.

But heres the thing: I am allowed to care about my health today too. As someone who is actively working to NOT binge on chocolate, telling me to ‘let go of the diet for the day’ or to ‘just enjoy the Easter chocolate’ is not OK. How about instead of telling people to embrace their bodies and enjoy chocolate, we don’t make the day revolve around what others are eating.

I can enjoy my Easter weekend, AND my chocolate, but constantly commenting on it is not helping my overall health (body and mind).
