How do you stop when you’re totally uncontrolled? Can anyone share advice on stress-eating?

Hi everyone,

Firstly - thank you for such an amazing sub! I take a lot of inspiration and motivation from you all.

I could really do with some advice. Every day is a starting over day - I’m 5.3” and I weigh 95kg, or just shy of 210lb - so I’m definitely in a very unhealthy and unhappy place.

I know all the guidelines and do all the planning - but the second something gets mildly stressful (almost always just at work) I start eating anything that’s not nailed down. I won’t go into too much detail, but it’s almost as if I become a human lawnmower and just eat everything in my path.

This is what derails me, I’ve lost and gained the same 10lb since January. Other than this, I’m a very happy person, I love my job (even if it’s sometimes stressful) and my home life.

I’ve run out of ideas on how to stop this or even curb it slightly, so I was wondering if you lovely people had any ideas? Thank you :)
