After eating anything for my first meal of the day, I look pregnant when I push my stomach out. This is because I have a 2 inch layer of hard fat sitting on top of my abs that isn't getting any smaller. I am making food at home but I'm also using boxed products for a lot of the larger meals, canned veggies/beans, prepackaged chicken and hamburger meat, etc. I'm not sure if this fat is leftover from when my diet used to be terrible or because the home-cooked meals I eat have added sugar/high fructose corn syrup. If this is the case, I have no clue how to not use products like this unless I start creating everything I eat from scratch.
