What are the right habits to form ?

This time around, I decided to try and lose weight long term by forming habits I can keep (eating when hungry, no restricted foods and intermittent fasting)

But I'm having a hard time eating the right amount "intuitively" and without trying to count the calories in my head. I never know if I'm truly still hungry or if I'm just craving food because I like eating.

Thus, I either eat too little and binge later, or overeat because "I'm still hungry right ?"

I also struggle with snacking : if I crave something unhealthy, should I allow myself to eat some it "because I want it and I'm allowed" or should I try to forge my discipline ?

I'm very confused, so if anyone has advice to offer or experienced the same things it would be a great help. Should I plan my meals and their calories ? Or try to eat with just weighing the food and count after I ate ? should I try to stay strictly under my calorie limit ? Or is it alright if I overstep ?

Basically, which habits should I go for ?
