Was Nearly arrested for identity theft because I look so different. NSV.

I went to the check cashing store the other day.

It is a neighborhood business that I used to go to and know the owner for over 10 years.

However I stopped going for about 2 years because I didn’t have the need to cash government checks anymore.

After 2 years and losing over 150lbs, I go to cash a check and show my ID.

This ID is still the old one with skinny me on it.

Store owner: looks at ID looks at me * looks at ID again*

pulls out gun

“Wait here or I’ll shoot. I am calling the police. I know this person and this is NOT YOU. THIS IS IDENTITY THEFT.

aims gun directly at my head

Me: hey it’s me ya jackass. It’s me rob.. I lost 150lbs

Store owner: can be heard telling the police to stand down and disregard the call

Jesus Christ you don’t look anything like your old self HOLY SHIT MAN YOU LOOK BRAND NEW

gives me a hug and apologizes for the troubles

He cashed my check with no fees to compensate for the scare..

I leave feeling fucking amazing..

I’m so proud of myself for losing this weight
