The powdered donut lost! I won!

It's a very small victory but I'm proud of it nonetheless.

The same as so many of you, work treats are constant and oh so tempting. My 'desk' doubles as the snack table due to space limitations, so in the past I've grazed on crap for all 9 hours of my shift. I've been working so hard to cut it down.

Today, I woke up and said, no way! I'm going to choose healthy options today and stay within my calorie limit. I spent the day one foot away from mini cinnamon rolls, a big bowl of candy, pop-tarts, and powdered donuts (my kryptonite). Past me would have scarfed them down without a thought. Current me ate my balanced, healthy lunch and then an apple for a snack.

Those donuts are still sitting, uneaten, right across from me. The other snacks don't call my name because even though my brain says I'm hungry, I know I am not. They will stay uneaten. It's a nice reminder that I have power over my actions.
