I'm (22F) 140lbs and about 5 foot 4, so according to this calculator https://tdeecalculator.net my BMR is around 1400 calories a day. I recently got a step counter which has told me that in order to reach the sedentary calorie burn listed on this website (1678) I would have to be walking 8000-10000 steps a day, which to my mind is not sedentary!
I do exercise other than walking (dance fitness, body pump, circuits, cycling etc) and aim for 3-4 sessions a week (it doesn't always happen) on top of walking an average of 8000-10000 steps a day and had always assumed that made me 'moderately active', but now I'm wondering if I have been overestimating how much I burn. I'm not particularly fussed about losing more weight (I'm down from 172lbs), more maintaining it and getting more toned. I find the descriptions of activity levels online fairly vague so just wondering what other people think.
