12 pounds down since Dec 2 when I started weightlifting 4-6 days a week with a routine from a personal trainer and IIFYM. It's hard to not get a little cocky after a a couple of solid weeks of doing well and then slipping and mindlessly splurging on a couple cocktails, dip into candy bowl at work here and there etc...
You can see a couple peaks in my progress chart where I had back to back weekends where one was at a destination wedding with multiple days of drinking and eating, and then did the 2nd weekend with a big brewery tour with multiple sushi meals. It feels so so crappy to see the scale go up so drastically, and take days or weeks to come down again. I have 7 pounds to go to reach my goal weight (not my ultimate goal, but a really good, "I'll be happy with this weight goal") and it feels like such a high mountain to climb.
After the last spike, I've been feeling pretty down but this morning I was down 1 pound and it feels so great and motivating to keep the blinders on and keep believing in myself.
