Starvation mode disambiguation?

Hi there.

I've been on a CICO diet for about 2-3 months. When starting, I heard a lot about starvation mode and have honestly never been clear on the idea. People say that it doesn't exist - which I am inclined to believe - but in my current state, I am losing less weight than I should be given my numbers. I eat no more than 600 calories a day consistently and I have lost 10kg since November, and it's only getting slower.

I get told that I'm not eating enough a lot (which I don't entirely understand - why? I'm under supervision from a GP, my blood test results are all perfect), but is there such a thing as eating so little that you don't lose weight?

Thanks. :)
