Shrinking Stomachs

Hello everyone,

I've been going strong for over a month on my new way of eating, eating at around a 600 calorie deficit from my TDEE. Things have been going really well, but I do still feel hungry a lot. I'm able to ignore it and live with it, but i'm just looking forward to that day where my body finally does the work that my mind is doing to just deal with it.

People usually say that your stomach will "adjust" and possibly shrink to match the amount of food you now take in. When does this feeling typically happen for anyone who's had this experience? I don't mind feeling hungry sometimes, but it's kind of just all the time and it's never satiated even when I do eat.

Also, I do kind of eat a good amount of calorie dense food because it's cheap and easy. For lunch i'll have a bag of mixed nuts, for dinner a bowl of oatmeal with peanut butter, protein shakes, etc. These quickly add to my total for the day, but I just don't have the time nor money to cook big, fresh, low calorie meals. I also just like knowing the fact that I can live off of less, so if I can comfortably live off less mass of food in general that is ideal.

edit: Pretty much just food mass is what helps me feel satiated, the type I eat helps a bit but not a ton (specifically protein fills me up just a little bit more than fat and carbs). I also drink lots of water every day, nothing other than water. Just looking for how people become more comfortable eating calorie dense foods as well as just less mass in general :)
