Realization - I always wish that I can turn back time so I can make the right choices this time, but I'm not making any effort to do the right things NOW.

Not just in fat loss, but in other aspects. I always wish that I can go back to the start of college, 12 years ago, so that I can change things. I'd prevent myself from getting fat. I'd study harder. I'd hang out with the right people. I'd build a network of friends. I'd join orgs. I'd be more mature in my relationship. I always, always, wish that I can turn back time. But then, I look at what I'm doing now, and I'm still not doing any of this. I'm still fat, I'm still inconsistent in my fat loss efforts. I still eat too much of the wrong things. I still don't exercise regularly. I'm still not doing anything to learn new skills to start a good career.

I know that 10 years from now, I'd wish that I can turn back time to the present, so that I can do things right. Well, I have the power to do that now. I have the power to make the right choices now. Why am I not doing it?

It's easy to blame our past selves for every wrong decision that led to the fucked up present. It's not so easy to hold our present selves accountable to create a better future.

I need to man up, make the right decisions, so that 5 years from now, I would not regret the past 5 years.
