I was struggling to find motivation to go to the gym and overheard a radio segment in regards to different techniques used. One intrigued me and I decided to give it a go, varying it slightly.
I asked my girlfriend to write a list of items she would like, any cost doesn't matter.
The list consisted of items such as: $250 pasta maker $600 shoes $1000 bag Etc..
The rule was, every week I didn't go to gym 5 times (wether I just went for a 15 minute job on the treadmill or did a short weight session) I would have to purchase her something off that list. I would have to keep this up for 12 weeks. The idea being the main issue was just motivating myself to get to the gym, once I was their I would be ok.
I am currently on week 9. I failed once during week 3 and it cost me a pasta maker (not so bag because I also reap the benefits).
I am now fitting into clothes I haven't worn in years and feeling great
