When I was younger I did a lot of athletic activities, soccer, cross country, track, etc. I never really watched what I ate. Going into high school I was about 110lbs, and 5’3. I was a small kid. I did marching band which provided some exercise but really not much. I started steadily gaining weight. My sophomore year I was 130, senior I was 160, in college I stayed fairly constant around 185. I’m in my junior year, and my low point was hitting 200lbs. I would get exhausted running errands because I was so physically weak. I always tried to work out and eat right, it would last maybe a few days at most. I drank several bottles of soda a day, never worked out or drank water, and ate fast food constantly.
After I hit 196lbs I said enough is enough. I moved back home to be with my parents because of some family issues, but my parents don’t drink soda and my dad cooks (really good) food every night. I have been working out since the 2nd week of February and eating right since Feb 1st. To date ive lost 10lbs and I’m so happy! I love going to the gym and working out, I’m less self conscious, I feel more confident, and just happier in general. I’m honestly kicking myself for not doing this earlier.
