Is my diet causing period pains?

Hi there,

Some background: I've been calorie counting since mid December. Starting weight was 120kg, currently at 99kg. I usually eat between 1200-1400cals a day.

Basically yesterday I got the worst period cramps I've ever experienced. I was in so much pain I couldn't walk or stand up. I know that this can be the norm for some women, but it's really unusual for me. I often get cramps but usually I can still get stuff done despite of them. They also usually last maybe a few hours, but I'm now on my second day of excruciating pains.

I'm basically just wondering if anyone else has experienced this while you've been dieting? Could vitamin deficiency be to blame?
