I went to the gym today!

I feel so good right now. I used to go to the gym regularly, 4-5 times a week. But two years ago, March 2017, I started having anxiety attacks. They scared the crap out of me. It took about 6 months and few different doctors and emergency room visits to figure out that it was anxiety. It felt like I was having a heart attack whenever they happened. It also took a few different meds to find one that worked for me but I finally was able to overcome them. But I was afraid of the gym now. I felt like my body was...fragile. I didn’t want to push it. I was afraid. I gained a lot of weight. I hate myself for it. But I did it. I went to the gym today. I thought I’d only stay a few minutes. I was sure I was so out of shape I wouldn’t get much out of it, but I knew I had to start somewhere. I went in being okay with the idea of leaving early. I wanted to ease myself in and I told myself it would be okay if it was only even 10 minutes. I was going. But I stayed for 45. I did a solid 15 minutes running on the treadmill and got a full arm workout in. And it didn’t make my body feel week. It made me feel strong. I can’t wait to go back tomorrow.
