I feel like a true survivor! Czech dumplings didn't ruin anything, opposite to my expectations.

After 5 weeks of #losingit and being the absolute saint without a single cheat meal or binge episode - the hour of trial finally arrived. Friday afternoon I took a weekend trip to Prague with my SO, where I wasn't able to prep my meals nor to excercise. In some ridiculous way I was affraid this is going to waste all my previous effort - the minute I will drink famous czech beer and eat traditional czech dumplings in a gravy/cream sauce I will pop to my old size.

Well, I had a great time, ate sinfull delicious food and stayed the same size - uff!

This is how I behave through the weekend:

- Friday - I had normal (=healthy) first and second breakfast at home, then I got into the car at noon, ate a ham sandwich and two carrots middle way to Prague. So it was three light meals as I knew what's comming later. After arrival to Prague - we had a dinner around 7 p.m. Two beers, one glass of mulled wine and a plate of grilled meat with roasted potatoes and lettuce salad. I stopped eating while I started to feel a little too full. I should stop two minutes earlier but on the other hand, in the past - I wouldn't stop at all until the food is gone, no matter what's the signals from the belly. After our dinner we took a ~4 km Old Town evening walk.

- Saturday - I decided to take only three bigger-and-not-so-healthy meals during the day instead of healthy and smaller five ones, because I believed it will cover the calories I need. So I started with the hotel breakfast (two ham and cucumber sandwiches + bretonian bean - there wasn't much of a choice, unfortunatelly..) and we left the hotel for our sightseeing. We decided to make it only by walking - no Uber or subway etc. I think our route was ~8 km in total. In the middle of the day we stopped in a restaurant for traditional Czech lunch - I had beef stewed in vegetable and cream sauce with dumplings + 2 beers. We continued our sightseeing and finally, went for good-bye Prague dinner to another nice restaurant. Actually, for the dinner I ordered only...a dessert! DESSERT! Had no sweets in my mouth for a month. This hot apple strudel with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream was delicious. And that's it, three above meals as the CI, ~8km walk as the CO.

Sunday - again, started my day with the same hotel breakfast and then drove home to eat whatever I have left in my fridge. The second I got back into my apartment...I went to the kitchen to cook millet porridge for my work breakfasts for the nearest 2 days, and some turkey for work lunches :-) Once my meal boxes were done, I hopped into sportswear and rode my stationary bike just as I ride my SO when we don't see each other for two days too. I did 20km in 40 mins, was sweaty but happy AF.

I didn't fall of the wagon just from being a tourist for the weekend. I survived!

I am so damn proud of myself and happy nothing terrible happened from eating that apple strudel. I had no idea how many calories I had yet the world is still standing. Also, I have 0 remorse from eating and drinking the things listed above. I think my head is getting healthier too :-)

Thanks for listening, I really needed to share this with you because I think that is why I am trying to switch to healthy lifestyle - to be "naughty" from time to time without risking my health. I love food just too much :-)
