Hunger is what losing weight feels like

Does anyone else ever tell themselves this?

This morning, I was driving to work and my stomach was already growling. I usually skip breakfast so I won’t be eating for at least 5 hours.

I trick my monkey brain into thinking that this is what losing weight feels like. It makes withstanding the hunger pangs a little bit easier.

At 5’2” 130 lbs, I’m eating about 1000-1200 calories per day. To some, this seems very unhealthy but my BMR is only about 1400-1800 depending on how sedentary I am that day.

So basically I need to be hungry almost constantly unless I save up all my calories for one big meal. It’s okay to feel hungry. That’s what this journey feels like for me.
