Eating Habits to live by

What are some eating habits you picked up as a kid that you wish you hadn’t?

For me it has to be watching tv/reading a book with my dinner. I’m actively trying to quit it however I usually slip since our parents eat dinner early and all of us siblings eat it at our convenience when we get home.

This habit alone I believe leads me to another helping, that is especially true when I’m watching/reading something I like. Discussed this with my brother who said he’s guilty of looking for dessert after every meal which my mom does too. I wouldn’t mind a dessert myself but it’s usually a fruit. However once again I have the fruit so that I have something to eat while I watch/read.
