Day 1 CICO~ how do I quit soda?

I’ve steadily gained over 50lbs in the last 5 years and I just want to feel like my old self again. I’ve also undergone 4 major surgeries in those years due to injuries, so working out isn’t easy.

After lurking this group for awhile, I figured I try CICO and downloaded the Lose It app and logged all my meals today. The most calories I consumed went to soda; 500 to be exact. I’ve currently tried buying the smaller cans to have with lunch, hoping that will help. I typically have 3-4 per day. I know it’s really unhealthy and has been a contributing factor to some of the weight gain.

Any advise on how to kick this habit??

Edit: I’ve tried stopping cold turkey and get migraines.
