CICO since Oct 1, F/33/5'9", SW295, CW239, GW195. I've lost almost 20% of myself. Hit the 230s today and made this list to celebrate.
At my highest weight I once had to request an airplane seatbelt extender, though on most flights I could squeeze myself in by stretching the belt to the max. I flew to San Diego recently and pulled my belt tight and there was so much slack!! Look at all that extra belt! https://imgur.com/a/eYn5wzu
Clothing sizes dropped from 3XL to XL, from size 24 pants to size 18 (approximately -- we all know how much ridiculous variation there is in women's clothing sizes). I've done a lot of shopping in my closet, finding old clothes that fit again now, or clothes I bought too small that fit for the first time. I recently bought a pair of size 16 shorts to shrink into, and to my complete surprise they were vanity-sized enough that they fit already for my trip to the beach! https://imgur.com/a/3HnQMah
My health stats are improving. My resting heart rate dropped off a cliff, from averaging 85ish to 69 currently. High BP resolved, and I haven't had my cholesterol re-checked but I bet it's a lot better too.
Tendons and muscles and bones, oh my! I'm starting to see collarbones, my absurdly ginormous hipbones are getting ready to make an appearance, and my shoulders, legs, butt...everything feels bonier and more muscular.
My ring finger lost 2 sizes. I made a whole post about this a while ago when my new size 8.5 engagement ring started fitting. A few days ago I was able to squeeze into my fiancee's size 8 ring for the first time. I'm disproportionately self-conscious about my sausage fingers, so I can't wait for them to keep slimming down further.
My skin is clearer and softer. Fewer blemishes, nicer texture, "glowing" look, although on the downside I've noticed more wrinkles around my eyes. From looking at before/after photos it seems like additional wrinkles are pretty common when you lose face fat.
I'm much more comfortable sitting in theater seats during a play. I went to see Wicked the other night and sat next to a very overweight family, with one young woman who was probably pushing 400lbs. They all looked so uncomfortable. I was relieved (and felt very privileged) to have extra room in my seat so I could scoot over a little and give them more space. I know how miserable it is to sit rigidly in a tiny seat for hours trying to minimize how much you spill over.
I can walk up stairs much easier without getting winded. Physical activity in general is way better. I feel like my cardio health and endurance has improved a ton from going to the gym and walking so much.
Upcoming NSVs I'm particularly looking forward to: ditching my double chin, losing the chub rub between my thighs, and being able to sit comfortably with my legs crossed.
