Work colleague with this one weird trick...

Today I sat in the cantine at work.

Typically people comment on my choice of food (always mixed salad + one or two bowls of soup + a little snack, all in all I try to stay below 600cals for lunch), as well as my tendency to bring a food scale.

I'm always eager to explain the calory counting, CICO, etc.

One of those colleagues today (female, small, chubby) commented that 600 is a whole damn lot, considering that she's "taking in 600 during the entire day".

I took the bait and immediately explained that that is far too little, and that her body would start shutting down vital organ functions if she kept on doing that, and that she ought to check what her TDEE is.

She answered: "No, no, I'm doing Intermittent Fasting, haven't you heard of it? I do this twice a week, only eating 500-600 cals a day. That way I am making sure my brain doesn't get bored and stops the Losing Weight progress because of it. "

I was flabbergasted. I didn't know what to say, so I kept my mouth shut.
