My progress

Hi all! I jumped into a diet and fitness ‘routine’ on the 2nd of January this year, as I’ve went a long time hating my body and hoping if I just chilled out and ate less I’d lose weight. That didn’t work, because I ate so sporadically, maybe having one small meal and a million snacks, or three big meals and no snacks.

This month has been tough as I’ve tried to eat healthier with what I already have, giving myself smaller portions and being disciplined with snacks. I sometimes don’t eat the best stuff but I’m always trying to moderate and track my foods. My goal is 1200 per day.

This diet and routine has been very loose this month, with trying new stuff and getting down on myself. However, I’ve managed to lose 4.5kg (10?lbs) and I’m super proud of myself. I’ve been walking briskly for 30-45 minutes nearly everyday, and only recently been trying to push my muscles a little more in terms of sit-ups and things like that. I know nothing about a healthy lifestyle but I’m really happy with my progress so far!

Are things like sit-ups good? They give me a good ache afterwards but I can’t say I don’t like it— I feel quite accomplished when it hurts, though I know it’s not a great indicator of whether or not I had a good workout.
