This happened today and almost made me crash the car. I'm learning to drive, so I've just started doing lessons with an instructor. Today we were chatting about me being vegetarian and he said really casually, "Maybe that's why you're skinny and I'm fat" - cue uproarious laughter from him and total consternation from moi.
To be clear, I'm not really skinny - my driving instructor has some middle aged spread going on and probably a different frame of reference. But this is the only time in my life that anyone, of any size, has EVER considered applying that word to me!
I've been losing for about 10 months and I'm currently bouncing around 143-145 down from 205 with maybe 10lbs left to go. Thanks to everyone amazing here, it feels like 2019 is going to be the year of middle aged men calling me skinny lol and everyone else just seeing me as normal! Go team!
