Hi all, lurker but EDIT: second time posting.
So a bit of background: Been big since I was about 10, shot up to 6'4" some time around 15 and left the UK at 17 in 2009, probably weighing somewhere around 100-110kg with a 38" waist. I hit 138kg at some point in 2016 when my first son was still a baby and thought "that's nearly 140kg, that's not a healthy weight". I went down to ~126kg and kind of tailed off, happy to have lost 12kg.
Cut to November last year, I weighed myself for the first time in ages and was surprised to see I weighed 126.6kg. It'd been 2 years and I'd somehow managed to maintain that weight, so I thought to myself "Why don't I just TRY for 6 months and see where I get?"
My big goal was to see 2 digits on that scale. That would definitely be the lowest weight I'd ever been as an adult. I hit it last Thursday and have stayed there, as of this morning I'm sitting at 99.5kg.
From 126.6kg to now I've dropped from 40/42" waist down to 36", and a XXL to a L shirt. I can't remember what I was at 138kg, probably tightly packing myself in to the same size. My next goal is to hit 93kg, and be at a healthy BMI for the first time since I was probably about 9.
I've been doing 16:8 IF since November 26th 2018. Usually eating between 10am and 6pm, not counting calories, just trying to make healthier choices and eat smaller portions. My work is reasonably physical, at the very least I'm walking around for most of the day, some days I'm dripping sweat for 8 hours working hard. The last 3 weeks I've been going to the gym every other day and doing weights for about an hour. My weight tracker app I use estimates I'm eating about 2000 calories a day.
And an added bonus is that I can stand on the scale with my 3 and a half year old and see less weight than when I started in November!
Any questions, feel free to ask.
