Precisely I have 4 stone 13lbs to go, this may not seem like much under 5 stone but to me it’s immense.
For a good 2+ years I have tried to lose weight by so many different means. From Slimming World, Slim Fast, trying to cut things out, ‘eat yourself slim’ books, gyms and even Paul McKenna - nothing has been as effective as what I’m doing now.
Using an app, I’m tracking calories and sticking to a limit determined by the app, I’m weighing and measuring everything I eat to be exact with my calories which is also helping with portion control in a sense. I’ve upped my intake of veggies and I’m trying to drink more water. I’ve cut out sweets, fizzy drinks, if I don’t have the calories for something, I simply won’t eat it.
Now, I’ll be honest and say I’ve used apps like this before. They haven’t worked either, though the problem was me. I wasn’t motivated enough to measure everything, weigh everything, make a note of EXACTLY EVERYTHING I was putting into my body. For some reason, now I am and it is working so well.
In just over a month I am down half a stone. I’ve still got 4stone 13lbs to go until my goal but I am stoked. It’s under 5 stone and it is AMAZING!
