On January 1, I was 262 pounds. Today, I’m a hair over 246. I don’t think I look noticeably skinnier, looking at pictures, so it’s just been a simple keep on the diet type of month. No real positive feedback, other than the scale.
Yesterday was a long day. Got 4 hours of sleep, left the house at 5 AM, put 800 miles on the truck, and was back at 9:30 PM. That sort of day happens once or twice a month for me. A little after I got home, my wife commented how much more energy I had than in the last couple of years. I was still going. Playing with my kids. Walking, cleaning the house. Normally, I was completely wiped after a 16+ hour day. Now I could still do stuff.
It’s funny, but I’d completely forgotten what it felt like to be that energetic. I loved it. And my kids loved it too.
